Looking for temporary security guards in Portland? IGI Security Services provides licensed, professional cover throughout South West — day, night, weekends and at short notice.
Temporary security guards in Portland for one-off, seasonal or interim needs — full cover for a day, a week or a few months, with no long contract.
As part of our wider security guarding in Portland, this service is delivered by officers who are trained, licensed and briefed specifically to your premises. Security guarding puts a trained, SIA-licensed officer physically on your site to deter, detect and respond. Guards control access, monitor CCTV, patrol the premises, log incidents and act as a visible presence that stops trouble before it starts.
Local knowledge matters. Our officers work regularly across Portland and South West, so they understand the area's layout, its busy periods and the kinds of incidents that occur — and that shapes how we plan your temporary security guards.
Offices, retail units, warehouses, business parks, schools, car parks, residential blocks and industrial estates all use manned guarding — anywhere a physical presence protects assets, reassures staff and satisfies insurers. If that sounds like your situation in Portland, we can help — and there's no job too small or too large.
Tell us what you need in Portland. We assess the premises, risks and hours to agree the right cover — with no obligation.
You get a clear, no-surprises quote and assignment instructions in writing before anything starts.
SIA-licensed, BS 7858-vetted officers are matched to your site and briefed on your exact requirements.
A named contact, monitored sign-in and regular reporting keep your Portland cover running smoothly, with the flexibility to adjust.
Every officer we send to Portland holds a valid licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA), the UK regulator for private security. SIA licensing is a legal requirement for security work — and we never deploy an unlicensed officer, whatever the pressure or timescale.
Our officers are screened to BS 7858 — the British Standard for vetting security personnel. That means identity, right-to-work, employment history and character are properly checked before anyone sets foot on your Portland site.
Our Portland cover runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Need officers at short notice? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll mobilise as fast as we safely can.
When something happens, speed matters. We prioritise urgent and short-notice requests in Portland, mobilising licensed officers quickly to secure your premises, people or event.
Whether uniformed and highly visible or low-key and discreet, our Portland officers look and act the part — because how security carries itself changes how people behave around it.
Every shift in Portland is logged. You get time-stamped patrol records, incident reports and clear handovers — so your cover is fully auditable and ready for insurers or management.
Our Portland teams use the right tools for the job: real-time sign-in and check-calls, GPS patrol logging, body-worn video where appropriate, and integration with any CCTV or alarms you already have.
Full insurance is a baseline, not an extra. Our Portland cover is backed by public and employer's liability insurance, with documentation available whenever you need it for a tender or contract.
A typical Portland assignment might start with a call on WhatsApp, a same-day site visit, and a licensed officer on shift within days — sometimes hours for urgent work. From there, cover settles into an agreed rota with regular reporting, adjusted whenever your needs change.
The cost of temporary security guards in Portland depends on the hours, the number of officers, the site and the level of risk — so we quote each job individually rather than quoting a misleading headline rate. Send us the details on WhatsApp and you'll get a clear, no-obligation price.
